I passed by this site on my way to the Pecos river and stopped both going up and coming back in the evening…. I had to paint it and write a poem! The Rock Serpent A rock serpent emerges from Rugged hills South of Galisteo Silently moving West to East, Returning to its’ molten home. I also climb the hilltops, Feel the Sun above and The golden grass beneath my feet. Grateful on each step On this journey home.
