The Rock Serpent and the Journey Home
I passed by this site on my way to the Pecos river and stopped both going up and coming back in the evening…. I had to paint it and write a poem! The Rock Serpent A rock serpent emerges from Rugged hills South of Galisteo Silently moving West to East, Returning to its’ molten home. I also climb the hilltops, Feel the Sun above and The golden grass beneath my feet. Grateful on each step On this journey home.

Patient Love and Western Canyons
Water Sculpture Rust, gold, every color in between. Western canyons rise as if grown by the river below. But they are carved with patient love, wet fingers reach down from above, shaping stone, Bringing life, creating beauty in the desert, a gift from the source to which the rivers Return again and again.
