Tom McGee, Artist
I grew up in the hill country around Austin Texas and discovered my artistic talents at an early age. I set my sights on architecture as a profession in 5th grade and never wavered until after college. After careers in architecture, ministry and the tech industry, I am back to my first love, art. In addition to my degree in design from Texas A&M, I have worked under the watchful of eye of great instructors in both representational and abstract painting. I was the king of the darkroom in my college photography classes and love all the artistic options available in the digital photography world. I hope you enjoy looking around and find something that could bring you or someone you love a bit of joy and inspiration.

I believe in a spiritual approach to the mystery of life and seek to create a window for others to see the dance of light and life.  I want others to enjoy the beauty and creative inspiration of original artwork and will seek to keep my work affordable and even free at times!

An Artist Statement:
I create inspirational images that celebrate the dance of light and life.
I do this is variety of mediums and using a wide variety of techniques including impressionism, abstraction, acrylic paints, oil paints and 3D printing.   All living things seem to celebrate life, I have seen whales whirl skyward, ravens dance in a circle and listened to frogs scream all night long.  Here is a poem that expresses some of this (I call it, An Artist Statement):

warm, cool, the dawn glows
over the Sangres this morning
-a lone raven flies

no photographs taken
just the stillness of peace
-awaiting sunrise

embracing essence
in myself and creation
-the artist spirit

my friends, the birds, are
already looking for food
-I take in the dawn

hello brother sun
the saint would say to you
-as the winter fades

mister flicker plays drums
on the fireplace vent hood
-what is he saying?

perhaps the same thing.

perhaps his art is banging on a vent,
glad to be alive!
