Photography and Printing

I use a combination of in-camera processing and computer processing to produce both realistic and impressionistic photographic images that tell a story.  I use both intense color photo and black and white photography depending on the the story I am telling.  If you are looking for inspirational photographs of the landscape, people  and cities of northern New Mexico, browse my collection.  Most of my photographs are taken with very high resolution digital equipment and can be printed in both small and large format prints.

Santa Fe

Abiquiu and Ghost Ranch

Picture
Santa Fe Sunrise - You can enjoy my morning view without having to move! The St. Francis Cathedral is still glowing from the night lighting while the sun reflects pink on the new snow.
Picture
Chama Canyon Glow - The evenings are delightful in the Chama river below Abiquiu reservoir. I like the cool feel of the river against the warm wall of the canyons. I did a plein air painting that hangs in my parent's place, but the photo captures the feeling well.
Picture
The Raven's Flight - This panned photo was shot in slot canyon at Tent Rocks Park, just lucky to get the camera up! I like the movement and I love Ravens, the most playful of all birds!
Picture
Madrid Lives - The once mining ghost town is now an artist community near Santa Fe. I love the color there and the contrast of live and death in this photo!
Picture
Fiddle Blues - The best fiddler I know personally can be found at http://davidkuncicky.com/ if you are interested. Here he is, lost in the music under the blue lights at Cowgirls in Santa Fe. I have focused on the instruments in this and the next shot for you Bluegrass fans out there!
Picture
Mandolin Magic - Dan the Man Michael's fingers fly down the fretboard at Cowgirls, casting the Weber Mando spell on the audience. I have many shots of Bluegrass sessions that can be abstracted like these for you music fans.
Picture
Eagle Lake Frost - This was a late fall shot that made Mr. November slot on a local credit union calendar. The warm/ cool contrast of the grass in the light/shade is what caught my eye. I have done several paintings of this scene but none does it justice like this photo!
Picture
Low Light Locomotion - I was in eastern New Mexico, when this train came out of no where in the morning fog, horn screaming. I actually turned around and found a crossing back up the road to get this shot. I got another earful too! ( And several more good train shots that day for anyone interested).
Picture
Bobcat Cub Climbing Lessons - We had a momma bobcat and her cubs living on our roof last year! I have many, many amazing shots. This was the cub's way up while mom simply jumped from the hill beside our house and kept her watchful eye on them!
Picture
Bobcat Bath Time - One of the cubs caught some down time for some self grooming. Too cute!
Picture
Bobcat Lazy Time - No hurry in the life of a bobcat cub. Mom is out lowering the squirrel population while the cubs relax! I have many more bobcat photos for someone interested.
